The leading US indices have been up between 7% and 8% since the beginning of 2018. This is the best year opening ever. More amusing is that the indices have already exceeded most analysts’ forecasts for the end of 2018, and we’re only at the end of January…
This is not a new thing that analysts are missing out on their forecasts, but this time it seems that something strange is happening in the behavior of large US stocks, as the small US stock indices and other indices around the world rose between 1% and 3%. Our portfolio also yielded a return similar to this level.
Again, this is the first time in history that we see such a strong rally in Wall Street’s large stocks. Even during the dot.com boom, we did not see anything like that. Later this week I will post a detailed review of the recent members’ meeting with all my insights regarding market valuation and forecasts. Until then, let’s hope that our portfolio will also benefit a bit more from this rally…
